Senior shortstop named all-conference a third time
Outgoing Marshalltown senior Sam Greazel was named to the all-Iowa Alliance Conference North Division baseball second team in a vote of the league’s coaches.
Greazel was the Bobcats’ lone representative on the all-conference teams after Marshalltown finished 0-16 in the Alliance North.
Greazel, who pitched and played shortstop for the Bobcats, finished 16th in the Alliance North with a .333 batting average in divisional play this season. He finished with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored as well as two stolen bases.
Defensively, Greazel had a .843 fielding percentage and was 0-2 on the mound in three starts.
Greazel was a repeat second-team selection to the Alliance squad after having earned honorable mention as a sophomore.
